How to get Open Water certified
Step 1: Come into the shop and buy a textbook, schedule your classes
Step 2: Complete your textbook knowledge reviews before your first class
Step 3: Attend your first class (usually a Friday, 3 PM - 6 PM) and receive your rental gear for the class (included)
Step 4: Attend a four-hour session in the pool to complete the pool skill portion of your certification (typically Saturdays, sometimes Sundays)
Step 5: The following weekend after your pool session, you will successfully demonstrate skills in four open water lake dives with an instructor to earn your certification
